Liquid ISCR Reagent
Emulsified liquid electron donor for enhanced anaerobic bioremediation of chlorinated solvents in groundwater.
Overview
Provect-ERD is an emulsified liquid electron donor used to create enhanced reductive dechlorination (ERD) conditions in groundwater for anaerobic bioremediation of chlorinated solvents (e.g., PCE, TCE, DCE, and VC). The technology is developed on a site-specific basis with a range typically containing 60-70% fermentable carbon (FC), several short and long-term carbon sources, and a proprietary surfactant package.
Key Features
Technology Mechanism
Provect-ERD(CH4)™ incorporates proprietary Provect-CH4® methanogenic inhibitors that control methane generation during anaerobic treatment. This advancement enables safe application near occupied structures and utilities while maintaining the effectiveness of enhanced reductive dechlorination.
Applications
- Groundwater plume treatment
- Bioremediation enhancement
- Injection-based delivery
- Long-term monitored natural attenuation support
- Source zone treatment
- Barrier systems
